Machine Gun Kelly (feat Waka Flocka Flame) - Wild Boy

Why did we not talk abt this track???

I personally slept on it when it first came out because I’m racist and I tend to not give white rappers much of a chance. Anyway, I was pretty entertained by Machine Gun Kelly at the BET Awards Cypher (specifically the ballsy closing line “So everybody gossipin / Tell a friend and a bitch that this white boy just bodied Black Entertainment Television”) so when I found out that he had a track with Waka I was like… why not? So here’s the thing about this song - Machine Gun Kelly does a decent job of rocking out to what sounds like a Southside leftover and it all sounds like a competent crunkkk tune until his verse ends and the following exchange occurs between him and Waka (Fast forward to 2.42)

Waka: Kellz, you think you a hard rapper?
MGK: Hell yeah. Do you think you’re a good rapper?
Waka: Fuck No!

And then Waka starts rapping and just annihilates everyone and everything in his path… Dude just comes bursting through the gates, spewing shittt with the kind of joyous, rabid, volatile energy that a million staged moshpits couldn’t summon or replicate. Words, visuals and everything else around him become a moot point.
